This iconic Général de Gaulle watch, a piece with a revisited vintage design, features a 35 mm polished gold case. Its sunburst gunmetal dial, enhanced with black reflections, stands out with black and gold applied indexes, along with three gold hands, one of which is the sweeping second hand ending with a lightning-shaped tail, a tribute to the original Electronic model.
With its 3 hands and date function, this model embodies minimalism and pure design. The watch is mounted on a black cowhide leather strap with crocodile-like finishes and tone-on-tone stitching. The gold ardillon buckle adds an extra touch of elegance. Designed by Lip, this watch is water-resistant up to 5 bars and is aimed at those with a refined and timeless sense of style.

After his trip to the United States, Fred Lip returned to Europe convinced of the future of the electric watch. It was a real technical challenge.
The prototype of the world's first electric wristwatch was presented in 1952 to the Académie des Sciences in Paris. This innovation represented ‘a masterpiece of chronometry and quality’. The watch equipped with the revolutionary R27 movement was marketed in 1958. Fred Lip was proud to offer this watch to General de Gaulle and then to General Eisenhower. This General de Gaulle model is the result of ten years of research carried out with efficiency and passion to develop the first electric watch that would pave the way for quartz watches.
