About nautic 3
A French history
LIP, the French brand of great explorers such as Maurice HERZOG and Eric TABARLY, has joined forces with Patrick DEIXONNE and Expedition 7th Continent to raise awareness of the urgent need to manage plastic waste in the oceans. To support the 7th Continent association, the French watch brand is presenting the new Nautic 3 Expedition 7th Continent. This new watch and its special case have no plastic parts. This model is powered by the famous Franco-Swiss G100 self-winding mechanical caliber, offering a comfortable 68-hour power reserve. All proceeds from the sale of this special product will be donated to the Expedition 7 th Continent association.
Expedition 7th Continent is a non-profit organisation, recognised as being in the public interest, headed by Patrick DEIXONNE, Founder and member of the the Society of French Explorers.
No ocean is preserved by the massive presence of plastics. These plastics carry endocrine disruptors, heavy metals and other pollutants, which are all constraints on ecosystems. They present a proven risk to marine biodiversity and, given the trophic links between species, their effects on human health are irrefutable.
In 20 years' time, if significant action is not taken, both at industrial level and in terms of individual behaviour, these continents of waste (there is one in each gyre, with the Pacific gyre representing around seven times the size of France) will cover an area much larger than Europe, with consequences that are still largely unknown.
In the face of this threat, Expedition 7th Continent is working to preserve the oceans by combining scientific, educational and media expertise, structured around a shared commitment: to understand, promote understanding of and reduce plastic pollution of the oceans for a preserved planet.
