Launched in the late 1960s to meet the needs of the North American market, the Nautic 666, nicknamed the "Devil Diver," has become an iconic reference. This diving watch from the LIP brand stands out with its dial indicating a maximum depth of 200 meters. Featuring a 39mm brushed stainless steel 316L case, the Nautic 666 is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 clicks and an anodized blue aluminum insert.
Its elegant and refined sunburst blue dial houses the LIP R26 caliber, a mechanical self-winding movement designed and manufactured in Besançon. This historic movement is the first of its kind produced by LIP since Fred LIP.
Designed for sports and diving enthusiasts, the watch is protected by a slightly domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective treatment and features a magnifying lens on the date window for optimal readability. The luminescent hour markers ensure excellent visibility.
The Nautic 666's strap is made of blue elastomer, offering both comfort and durability, and is secured with a chrome-plated pin buckle engraved with the LIP logo. The transparent screwed case back, topped with a flat glass, allows for a view of the French-made automatic movement. The large balance wheel oscillating at 3 hertz ensures optimal precision, while the LIP logo is revealed through the motion of the oscillating weight.
This diving watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters, and although each model is individually numbered, it is not a limited edition, offering lasting availability for collectors and enthusiasts of high-precision timepieces.

This is Besançon's first self-winding Manufacture movement since Fred Lip. Redesigned in-house with the help of Besançon's SupMicroTech engineering school, it features a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound, a hacking second hand, and a date display. With over 70% French value in terms of production, this movement, whose balance wheel oscillates at 21,600 beats per hour (3 Hertz), features the LIP logo on its gear bridge and oscillating weight, which seem to overlap enchantingly with its oscillations. Equipped with specific hexagonal screws for the gear bridges, balance, and oscillating weight, it is fully assembled, cased, and inspected by the master watchmakers working in LIP's Besançon workshops.
NAUTIC 666 - R26
The hell of a diver
Developed in the late 1960s for the North American market, the Nautic 666, nicknamed "Devil Diver," is famous for its dial indicating a maximum depth of 200 meters. Fred Lip, bold in his communication, dared to display this technical specification, defying the superstitions of the time. Today, this legendary model makes its return in the LIP collection with a 39 mm stainless steel case, a rotating bezel, and a transparent case back revealing the R26 movement, the first automatic movement from the manufacture since Fred Lip.
