This Lip Himalaya chronograph in 316L stainless steel is the perfect partner for getting off the beaten track. In addition to its split-second chronograph function up to 60 minutes, it measures intermediate times, has tachymeter and telemeter functions as well as a date window and a 24-hour hand. Water-resistant to 50 metres, it has a screw-down caseback and anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and a 316L stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp. In 1950, Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal reached the summit of Annapurna. For the first time in the history of mankind, men conquered a peak above 8,000 m. They were French, and it was with their LIP Himalaya watches that they looked at the time as they reached the top of the ‘first 8,000’. Five years later, in the spring of 1955, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy set a new Himalayan record by making the first ascent of Makalu, the 5th highest peak in the world at an altitude of 8,485 m. Two world records for the same watch model!
