The Lip Himalaya is renowned for its reliability and durability. The Himalaya, a timepiece of timeless elegance, now lives to the rhythm of an automatic movement. The beating heart lets you admire the passing of time with precision and elegance. The polished 316L stainless steel case is more imposing than when it was launched in 1954, now measuring 40 mm in diameter and featuring a transparent screw-down caseback, allowing the on-board automatic mechanism to be admired. The lightly silvered white dial reveals silvered triangular hour markers and partly luminescent silvered hour and minute hands, and is covered by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The small seconds counter at 4 o'clock features a silvered hand. The open heart at 7 o'clock also reveals the watch's automatic mechanism. A smooth camel-coloured cowhide leather strap with white stitching accompanies this exceptional timepiece, and is fitted with a pin buckle. This model is water-resistant to 50 m, so it has everything you need for everyday wear.

About himalaya
A French story
HIMALAYA
MAURICE HERZOG & LOUIS LACHENAL
In 1950, Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal reached the summit of Annapurna. For the first time in the history of mankind, men conquered a peak above 8,000 m. They were French, and it was with their LIP Himalaya watches that they looked at the time as they reached the top of the ‘first 8,000’. Five years later, in the spring of 1955, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy set a new Himalayan record by making the first ascent of Makalu, the 5th highest peak in the world at an altitude of 8,485 m. Two world records for the same watch model!
