With a vintage style, this Lip Himalaya watch features an automatic movement and a 33 mm polished and brushed 316L stainless steel case—a size that suits all wrists perfectly. Its slightly silvery white dial includes an open heart at 6 o’clock, allowing you to admire the automatic movement in action, protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. You can also view the movement through the transparent screw-down case back, which ensures water resistance up to 50 meters. The indexes and hands are silver-colored, and you’ll notice the seconds hand is tinted red. The strap is made of smooth red calf leather with tone-on-tone stitching. In 1950, Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal reached the summit of Annapurna. For the first time in the history of mankind, men conquered a peak above 8,000 m. They were French, and it was with their LIP Himalaya watches that they looked at the time as they reached the top of the ‘first 8,000’. Five years later, in the spring of 1955, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy set a new Himalayan record by making the first ascent of Makalu, the 5th highest peak in the world at an altitude of 8,485 m. Two world records for the same watch model!
