When two French icons unite
LIP presents a Himalaya Skeleton Automatic 40 mm developed in collaboration with Peugeot Motocycles, directly inspired by the aesthetic codes of the XP400 LIP maxi-scooter. This timepiece, with its timeless elegance, is powered by an automatic movement visible through a deep green skeleton dial, echoing the Forest Green color of the bodywork and revealing the mechanics in motion with precision.
The polished 316L stainless steel case is paired with a camel grained calf leather strap, inspired by the Sahara seat of the scooter. Featuring tone-on-tone stitching and a chrome pin buckle signed LIP, it offers both comfort and aesthetic coherence. Rose gold-tone indices and hands, partially luminescent, ensure optimal readability, while the off-centered small seconds between 4 and 5 o’clock add a distinctive touch to the dial. The screw-down transparent case back allows the automatic movement to be admired in operation.
Water-resistant up to 50 meters, this model combines reliability and elegance for everyday wear. It is not a limited edition and is also available through authorized LIP retailers.
From the meeting of two great French houses, Peugeot Motocycles and LIP, also come two exclusive creations: the XP400 LIP maxi-scooter and a Himalaya Skeleton 40 mm with coordinated finishes (identical to the model presented above, but this version is numbered from 1 to 50 pieces).
Each XP400 LIP maxi-scooter is delivered with a Lip Himalaya Skeleton automatic watch bearing the same unique serial number, a strong symbol of this collaboration. Produced in only 50 units worldwide, these two collector’s items embody refinement and performance.
The XP400 LIP limited editions and their matching watch are available exclusively through the international Peugeot Motocycles network.

HIMALAYA
MAURICE HERZOG & LOUIS LACHENAL
In 1950, Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal reached the summit of Annapurna. For the first time in the history of mankind, men conquered a peak above 8,000 m. They were French, and it was with their LIP Himalaya watches that they looked at the time as they reached the top of the ‘first 8,000’. Five years later, in the spring of 1955, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy set a new Himalayan record by making the first ascent of Makalu, the 5th highest peak in the world at an altitude of 8,485 m. Two world records for the same watch model!
