This sporty Lip Himalaya watch has a 40 mm case in polished 316L stainless steel, mounted on a smooth black calfskin strap with tone-on-tone stitching. Its black and white panda dial features Arabic numerals and black hands, and is covered by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. This model features a date counter at 3 o'clock and a day counter in French at 9 o'clock. Its screw-down caseback is water-resistant to 50 m. A robust, reliable everyday watch that is also highly legible.

In 1950, Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal reached the summit of Annapurna. For the first time in the history of mankind, men conquered a peak above 8,000 m. They were French, and it was with their LIP Himalaya watches that they looked at the time as they reached the top of the ‘first 8,000’. Five years later, in the spring of 1955, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy set a new Himalayan record by making the first ascent of Makalu, the 5th highest peak in the world at an altitude of 8,485 m. Two world records for the same watch model!
