This beautiful LIP Himalaya model is powered by an automatic mechanical movement and features a lovely blue dial with a 3 o'clock counter showing the month, a date display at 6 o'clock, and a second counter at 9 o'clock showing the day. Its case is made of polished and brushed 316L stainless steel, enclosing a blue dial protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The Arabic numerals are silver, and the hands are also silver, with the seconds hand featuring a red tip for distinction. The strap is made of smooth camel-colored cowhide leather, stitched in beige, and fastened with a secure deployant buckle. Water-resistant up to 50 meters, it has a transparent screwed case back that allows you to admire the movement in action. A very beautiful watch with a modest diameter, perfect for those seeking comfort and functionality.

In 1950, Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal reached the summit of Annapurna. For the first time in the history of mankind, men conquered a peak above 8,000 m. They were French, and it was with their LIP Himalaya watches that they looked at the time as they reached the top of the ‘first 8,000’. Five years later, in the spring of 1955, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy set a new Himalayan record by making the first ascent of Makalu, the 5th highest peak in the world at an altitude of 8,485 m. Two world records for the same watch model!
